I write unstructured poetry and sometimes express my prose when exposed to the amazing. I also take pictures of things I find beautiful–sometimes the pictures are to pair with a poem, and sometimes the pictures inspire a poem. Reading the works of other poets always speaks to me beyond any other structuring of written words–the pauses, rhythms, repetition, and incomplete thoughts often speak louder than a full sentence. Poetry is an attempt to capture the human experience. So, I write it flawed and fervently. The living poet must embrace some vulnerability at revealing the most terrifying and exhilarating pieces of their soul. Perhaps, if my children and others whom I love have record of how intensely I soak up and cherish this wild experience, nothing will hold them back from sharing their own. I pray we all receive and know God’s love brought forth through all things created. I am only that which I am through I AM-Infinite Love.
